New York City has started to pay residents $30 per hour to shovel sidewalks and bus stops. The municipality says they’ve been doing this for decades, but the recent pay upgrade has brought a lot of attention to this initiative. Joshua Goodman is the Deputy Commissioner for Public Affairs and Customer Experience at the New York City Department of Sanitation. He joins Kristy Cameron on today’s Ottawa Now.
