Ottawa Now - Councillor Kavanagh displeased with yet another significant closure on Woodroffe Avenue

March 4, 2026

An Ottawa city councillor is venting her frustrations over a series of prolonged road closures and construction in her ward. For many years, businesses along Richmond Road have complained about Stage 2 of LRT construction, saying it drives customers away. But now, as we approach an 8-month closure on Woodroffe Avenue between Richmond and Deschenes, there is barely any patience left. Bay Ward councillor Theresa Kavanagh joins Kristy Cameron on today’s Ottawa Now.
