Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Tues. March 10th, 2026

March 10, 2026

Yesterday, we were talking about soaring oil and gas prices on the program. Oil has reached its highest price tag since 2022, coming in at nearly $120 per barrel before slumping to just $90 per barrel. Obviously, you’ve seen the surging gas prices by now. But the ongoing conflict in Iran is also driving up the price of transport goods, which could mean higher prices for everyday essentials. And if the price of airline fuel is going up, then passengers might be feeling the burn when trying to book a flight. Here to elaborate further is John Gradek, an aviation expert who has held senior roles at Air Canada during his decorated career in the industry. Meantime, a local parent is sounding the alarm against the viral TikTok Benadryl challenge after it nearly took her daughter’s life. Joining the show in Hour 2 is Timothy Caulfield, a Professor of Health Policy at the University of Alberta. Plus, the present-day version of Wiarton Willie will never see his shadow again. CFRA’s Chris Holski explains why.
