The New Brunswick government says a Fredericton company that spilled toxic chemicals on the Trans-Canada Highway last week could be fined up to $1 million.

"There's a lot of pressure on energy costs, obviously, diesel, gas prices, and the food supply chain is a very energy-intensive sector," Dr. Sylvain Charlebois said.
