Cooler inflation in February was ‘the dip before the spike,’ says economist

Consumer inflation cooled to 1.8 per cent in February compared to a year earlier, when the federal GST/HST tax holiday meant lower prices for many consumer goods and services.
"There's a lot of pressure on energy costs, obviously, diesel, gas prices, and the food supply chain is a very energy-intensive sector," Dr. Sylvain Charlebois said.
