Alto to start requesting access to private land along potential high-speed rail route

The company working to build high-speed rail between Toronto and Quebec City says it's moving to the next stage of environmental study, which could include requests to assess private land.

The company says nearly two-thirds of the roughly 280 positions affected are in Quebec, mainly in the Montreal area where it's headquartered.
