The Toronto Blue Jays will kick off their regular season Friday night as the reigning American League champions. Canada's lone big-league team is looking to get over the hump this year after dropping Game 7 of the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers last fall.

The Northern Ontario Hockey Association will allow the U18 Soo Jr. Greyhounds to compete in a championship game on Sunday in Sudbury against the Copper Cliff Reds. There were initially told they had to forfeit a game after leaving behind an allegedly messy dressing room.
