Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Tues. March 31st, 2026

March 31, 2026

Finding a place to live isn’t easy, and a lot of people can relate to the struggle of scouring online marketplaces to find an acceptable rental space. What makes it borderline unbearable for students is the high cost of living, online marketplace scams, and a full school workload. Oh, and you might be stuck with an unpleasant roommate. Aidan Fitzmaurice, a UOttawa student and the founder of Next Room Incorporated, is on a mission to change that. He joins Kristy Cameron in Hour 2. Meantime, if you’ve taken the O-Train recently, you might be noticing the shorthanded fleet of train cars. But another thing you might have noticed is that the LRT washrooms are closed. We check in with Barrhaven East councillor and Transit Committee member Wilson Lo. Then, we are greeted by Bessa Whitmore, who is a member of the Gotta Go Ottawa campaign. And finally, Canada Post is officially ditching door-to-door delivery. And by that, we really do mean all of it. CFRA’s Chris Holski explains.
