MPPs in Ontario receive 4.2% raise now salary freeze has ended

Last year, all Ontario parties agreed to a 35-per cent pay raise for MPPs and the creation of a new pension plan after a salary freeze at Queen's Park that lasted 16 years.
Newfoundland and Labrador is once again forecasting a hefty budgetary shortfall, but is expected to lead the country by a wide margin in 2026 when it comes to GDP growth.
