Lobster harvesters hope for strong prices as cost of fuel and other expenses soar

A relatively low supply of lobsters and increased demand with the removal of international trade barriers are pointing to better prices, the executive director of the Maritime Fishermen's Union told The Canadian Press.

Canada’s tariff-hit manufacturing sector led the growth in February, rising 1.8 per cent. This was the largest growth for the sector since January 2023.
