The right answer to any question can only be obtained when all of the stakeholders are included in the decision making process.

The community is a stakeholder when it comes to decisions that affect them. To exclude them intentionally, as the City regularly does, is to prevent yourself from obtaining the right answer. it’s disrespectful, it’s a bully tactic, and it never results in the best answer because you need everyone at the table in order to ensure all possible scenarios are considered before a decision is made.
