Ottawa Now - New initiative at QCH helps connect newborn babies with primary care providers

A new initiative from the Queensway-Carleton Hospital is connecting newborn babies without a family doctor to a primary care provider for the first two years of their lives. It’s called The Newborn Primary Care Attachment Initiative, and it works with families at both the Queensway-Carleton Hospital and the Almonte General Hospital. And as of today, this pilot project has already helped 216 patients, a number that keeps on growing. Kristy Cameron chats with Ashley Malloff on today’s Ottawa Now. She is the Vice-President of Quality and a Chief Nursing Executive at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital.
