Kingston faces $3.1M snow clearing deficit after extreme winter

An exceptionally busy winter drove Kingston's snow clearing costs $3.1 million over budget, forcing the city to delay park maintenance and road projects to offset the overruns.
Extensive spring flooding has closed over a dozen roads across the province, displacing some and leaving around 19 people stranded near Struthers Lake Regional Park.
