Federal gov't gives billion-dollar lifeline to steel and aluminum sectors

The federal government announced on Monday another package to prop up the hard-hit steel, aluminum and copper sectors after U.S. President Donald Trump tightened his tariff regime to apply to more products, hammering Canadian industry.
David Eby made his remarks after multiple outlets reported German firm SEFE is poised to buy gas from the proposed $10-billion plant and export terminal near Alaska.
