Registration opens on May 12 for swimming, and May 14 for summer activities and Before and After School Programs

Summer is almost here and that means that registration for City of Ottawa summer activities and Before and after School Programs is opening soon. There are a variety of activities for all interests and skillsets, from children to older adults.

Residents can view activities online starting Tuesday, May 5.

Register for swimming on Tuesday, May 12 at 9 pm.

  • Register for all other activities on Thursday, May 14 at 9 pm.
  • Summer camp registration opened on February 26.

In‑person registration begins the day after online registration, during regular business hours at recreation and cultural facilities across the city.

Financial assistance is available through the Ottawa Hand in Hand program to help eligible residents participate in recreation and cultural activities. The City also offers inclusive programs and accessible facilities and services so residents of all abilities can take part.

Preparing for registration

Get ready ahead of time to make registration day quick and easy:

  • New users to the ActiveNet registration system must create an account online on Register Ottawa.
  • Returning users should sign in and make sure account information is up to date, including family members and payment methods.
  • Save time by creating a Wish List of preferred activities and add backup options in case programs fill up quickly.
  • Learn more by reading the FAQs on Register Ottawa and by watching the tutorial video.
Upcoming registration dates Fall activities
  • View online starting July 28.
  • Register for swimming starting August 11 at 9 pm.
  • Register for all other activities starting August 13 at 9 pm.
Winter activities
  • View online starting November 3.
  • Register for swimming starting November 17 at 9 pm.
  • Register for all other activities starting November 19 at 9 pm.
