Ontario to start screening for colorectal cancer at age 45 instead of 50

New guidelines say Ontario is lowering its colorectal cancer screening age to 45 from 50 in response to a "notable" increase in younger people diagnosed with the disease.

The city is hoping to redirect $10 million of provincial money into building a safe and welcoming ByWard Market, including $300,000 to improve the pedestrian underpass at Rideau Street and Sussex Drive.
