Ottawa Now - The demographics moving in, and moving out, of Canada's Capital

The Greater Ottawa Homebuilders Association is sounding the alarm about families and mid-career workers leaving the city, mainly because they can’t find the right type of housing. This demographic, to be more specific, is searching for ‘ground-oriented and family-friendly’ properties. They want a bit more space to settle down, a reality that today’s condos cannot provide. The Missing Middle Initiative – run through the University of Ottawa – assembled this batch of data for us to digest. And while people might still be moving into Canada’s Capital, those demographics are extremely distinct from the others.
