May 11, 2026

After a pair of fatal weekend incidents, and the Victoria Day Weekend fast approaching, it’s time to have a quick chat about water safety. They are screened for Cystic Fibrosis, Endocrine diseases, Metabolic diseases, and more. Today, researchers are looking at using Genomic Newborn Screening, a first-of-its-kind device in North America. Here to tell us more about the project is Dr. Neal Sondheimer. He is the Medical Director of Newborn Screening Ontario at CHEO.
