Ottawa Now - What is 'No Mow May'?
May 14, 2026

Well, it’s a conservation initiative that encourages homeowners to refrain from mowing their lawns during the month of May – a way to promote the presence of early-season pollinators like bees and butterflies. Kristy Cameron picks the brain of gardening expert Carson Arthur on today's Ottawa Now.
