A trio of nations will play host to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Canada is one of them. Between Toronto and Vancouver, 13 games will be played here. So what’s the price tag? Well, it’s a whopping $1 billion, according to the country’s budgetary watchdog. Yes, Canada is in the tournament, and they are expected to make some noise in the Round Robin matches. Here in Ontario, last calls will be extended at sports bars. But is it worth the investment? Kristy Cameron sifts through the CFRA textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Shifting gears to municipal matters, Barrhaven West councillor David Hill has submitted an inquiry form to the Emergency and Protective Services Committee. He is voicing his concerns about today’s Lithium Ion batteries, and how they affect our city and emergency services.
