Canadian Paralympic Committee distributes $555,000 to Milano-Cortina medallists

For the first time, Canada's winter Paralympians have been compensated equally to their Olympic counterparts for reaching the medal podium. Thirty medallists from the Milano-Cortina Games in March will receive a total of $550,000.

The committee replaces a task force that was suspended in March 2025 following controversy over its decision not to recommend breast cancer screening for women under age 50.
