Manitoba agrees to pay $129-million to settle landmark youth segregation lawsuit

The Manitoba government has agreed to pay $129-million to settle a landmark class action lawsuit that targeted the province’s practice of putting incarcerated children in segregation jail cells.
The tax cut applies to food sold at grocery and convenience stores, but it's still charged at restaurants, bakeries and bars.
