When should children move out of the family house? Back in 2021, the proportion of Millennials aged 25 to 39 living with their parents was twice that of Baby Boomers in 1991 – 16.3 percent compared to 8.2 percent. That’s according to new analysis from Statistics Canada. And while housing affordability for Millennials is an evergreen issue, one of the study’s authors says the cost of home ownership is only one of the factors that has driven these multi-generational changes. Joining Kristy Cameron to discuss further is Paul Kershaw, the founder of Generation Squeeze and a UBC Professor.
