We are receiving an update from the province today in regards to the high levels of lead in Ontario school drinking water. Parents at one Ottawa school were shocked to learn about the elevated levels of lead in that school's water supply. And now, they are demanding answers from the Ministry of Education, questioning why the province is still allowing double the level recommended by Health Canada. The Public Works and Infrastructure Committee today received the 2025 Parking Services Annual Report. The report highlights ongoing work to provide affordable, secure, accessible and convenient public parking across Ottawa through the Municipal Parking Management Strategy.
In 2025, the City introduced paid parking in high-demand areas, on evenings and weekends as a way to ensure more people can get short-term parking when and where they need it.
