With the FIFA World Cup just days away, the Ontario government is warning ticket resellers to not try any funny business. That’s because the province plans to double the maximum fines that can be handed out for selling tickets above their original value – jumping from a max fine of $10,000 to a whopping $25,000. Canadian music expert and publicist Eric Alper is quite skeptical about Premier Ford’s approach, calling the legislation ‘toothless’. He joins Kristy Cameron on Ottawa Now.
