Ottawa firefighters responded to six residential fires across the city in less than two days, with two pets dead and multiple residents displaced.

The remote fly-in community of Kasabonika Lake First Nation in northwestern Ontario is making preparations to evacuate vulnerable residents, as concern rises over numerous wildfires surrounding the community.
