A string of thunderstorms slammed right into the National Capital Region on Canada Day, as 118 millimetres of rain fell from the sky. The endless downpour cancelled a string of Canada Day activities and left over 3,200 basements flooded. Less than a week later, lots of basements are still waterlogged. He is the National Director of Consumer and Industry Relations at the Insurance Bureau of Canada. Then, we check in with Knoxdale-Merivale councillor Sean Devine, who represents one of the city’s hardest-hit areas.
