Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Mon. July 6th, 2026

July 6, 2026

Almost 4,500 homes across Canada’s Capital have been impacted by the Canada Day flood. It’s called the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians – or DRAO for short. And in a news conference just now, Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe says the province is working to approve that program. In Hour 3, we check in with Tyler Watt, the Ontario Liberal MPP for Nepean. Then, we turn things over to the mighty CFRA Nation, as we tackle today’s Question of the Day. And finally, we talk politics with our Political Heat Panel, as the new federal public service mandate officially kicks in.
