Ottawa shares plan to improve commutes when federal workers return to the office 4 days a week

As Ottawa approaches a fourth rendition of “return to office,” the city is bracing for traffic. To support commutes, parking and transit, the city assembled an action plan.
A new survey from Équité Association found just 18 per cent of respondents believe vehicles being sold today can withstand modern auto theft tactics.

The province's latest numbers suggest fires have burned through more than 7,250 square kilometres of Ontario's forest, surpassing the previous record set in 2021. Most of the burning has been in the past 10 days, and the forecast for August suggests much of northern Ontario could remain hotter and drier than normal.
