Ken Mitchell was a published author of both novels and poetry, a playwright and a professor at the University of Regina’s English department, where he taught creative writing. Mitchell helped create the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild, paving the way for the province's literary community. Those who knew him say it will be a huge loss.
