She needs $12K-a-month drug to treat incurable cancer, but insurance won’t pay

Sophie Djeme-Mi Koumazock’s doctor prescribed her a new drug to slow the progression of incurable breast cancer. But as a federal employee, her insurance plan through Canada Life won’t foot the monthly bill, which could be as expensive as $12,000.
