Likely tornado tears through Harrington, Que., leaves behind major damage

Harrington, Que., is approximately 40 kilometres from Mont-Tremblant, with a population of under 1,000 people. The probable tornado hit Tuesday afternoon, resulting in downed power lines and outages in the small municipality and other parts of the Laurentians.
A Quebec Superior Court judge will decide whether a historic $31.5-million settlement against the archdiocese of Quebec is approved. The deal could end years of legal action for claimants who allege they were sexually assaulted by members of the archdiocese since 1940.
