Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says she won't ban U.S. alcohol in response to President Donald Trump's latest tariff threat, saying she wants to "stay calm" rather than retaliate.

RCMP say they are investigating the homicide of a 12-year-old Edmonton boy after remains were found in a rural area of northern Alberta. In a news release on Sunday, police said Athabasca RCMP officers responded to a report of human remains found on Thursday, Aug. 6, just before 3:30 a.m.
