After 7 months away from home, Kashechewan evacuees can head back starting Aug. 4

Evacuees from Kashechewan First Nation, a remote Cree community in Ontario’s far north, will be able to return home starting Aug. 4, after nearly seven months away due to issues with the water treatment plant.
A public hearing was held Monday on a rezoning application for the site near Argyll Road and 75th Street. Currently, the building is used as a thrift store and a warehouse.
