Strong winds and dry thunderstorms are expected to worsen wildfire conditions across southern B.C this long weekend, as more than 1,800 properties remain under evacuation orders.

There are now approximately 130 wildfires burning in British Columbia, with BC Wildfire Service reporting almost half of those are considered out-of-control.
