Ontario city declares state of emergency after ‘hurricane’s worth of rain’

The first storm hit St. Catharines on July 21, then another poured rain down on the city from July 27 to 28. The city received a brief reprieve before more rain fell on Aug. 2.
Durham regional police said the pilot had left at about 8:30 a.m. Friday and was expected back about an hour later. When he did not arrive, a search began.

Police say the incident occurred on June 13 between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. at a building located at 51 Adair Ave. S. in Hamilton.
