Manitoba overrules rural school board plan to deprive older students of health-care privacy

A policy in southeastern Manitoba schools that requires staff to ignore provincial law entitling youth 16 and up to make their own health-care decisions must be repealed, the province's education minister says.
The riding has been considered a safe Liberal seat that saw former cabinet minister Jonathan Wilkinson win for a fourth time in the 2025 federal election.
