A Winnipeg family is voicing frustrations after they say their terminally ill mother waited in an emergency department for 20 hours.
Extreme winds in June caused the most insured loss of any event recorded in the province — $240 million — followed by the northern wildfires last summer. Higher losses can lead to higher premiums, and Canada should take more preventative measures, an expert says.
