Mayor to host Annual Community BBQ in Kanata

August 13, 2026

Ottawa residents will join Mayor Mark Sutcliffe on Saturday, August 15 for the Mayor’s Annual Community BBQ at the Richcraft Recreation Complex- Kanata. 

The event will include a free barbecue while quantities last, a variety of treats and activities including a carnival ride, swimming, airbrush tattoos, a display of City vehicles, a magic show by Eric Leclerc and much more.

Donations to the Kanata Food Cupboard will be accepted at this event.

Time: 11 am to 3 pm

Location: Richcraft Recreation Complex – Kanata, 4101 Innovation Drive

For those using public transit, you can take OC Transpo Routes 63 or 165 to Innovation Station. From there, it is approximately a 5-minute walk to the site. Customers are encouraged to use the Travel Planner or Transit app to plan their trip.
