'It was unbearable': Halifax tenants call for indoor temperature cap

A recent heat wave has forced tenants to find ways to survive the high temperatures. Some believe the government should limit allowable indoor temperatures for rental units and offer financial aids for cooling methods.

The meeting being arranged by the Quebec premier and CAQ leader for Monday night comes as Canada prepares to impose retaliatory tariffs on a wide range of U.S. goods the following day. The tariffs will range from 15 to 50 per cent and apply to products including dairy, steel, copper and some beauty products.
