It has posted a $7.2 million deficit for the first 3 months of 2026. It ran a deficit of $52 million in 2025. Today, speaking at a news conference at Terry Fox Station, Ottawa’s Mayor talked about his plan to fix it. That would be Ottawa’s transit service. He also threw around the idea of a price reduction, intending to hold monthly passes at a reduced $95 rate for the next 4 years. Dozens of Montrealers marched in solidarity over violence against women. It comes after two Montreal women were killed last week in separate incidents of suspected intimate partner violence. The march, organized by Maison d'Haïti, took place in the borough of the recent killings, in Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension.
