All shows and events at Meridian Theatres have been cancelled for the rest of 2026 due to the Canada Day flooding. According to City Staff, floodwater caused ‘considerable damage’ to the Centrepointe theatre – from the main theatre stage, to the orchestra pit, to front rows of seating, and the studio theatre. Not even a grand piano was safe from this downpour. However, a ray of sunshine has popped up for Orpheus Theatre, who has performed countless plays at 101 Centrepointe Drive since the 1990’s.
