A new survey shows that 8-in-10 Canadians feel their vehicles are vulnerable to theft, despite a recent drop in car thefts nationwide. Data from Angus Reid and Équité Association reveals that, while thefts did decrease in 2025, thieves are using advanced technology to bypass standard security systems. One of those tools is a ‘key fob relay attack’. And despite the aforementioned decline in thefts, over 33% of the 47,000 vehicles that were stolen in 2025 have yet to be returned to their registered owners. Keeping these friendships, as an adult, is even tougher. So on today’s edition of Self-Help Tuesday with psychotherapist Benslyne Avril, we are looking at why adult friendships fade, how you can actually save them, and how you can make some new ones.

Nearly one in two Canadians would vote for Mark Carney’s Liberals if an election were held today, according to a new Postmedia-Leger poll . The Liberals continue to lead nationally with 49 per cent support among decided voters and up three points since August. Meanwhile, the Conservatives are sitting at 33 per cent (down one point). “These results confirm once again that when Canada-U.S. relations take a downturn and/or President Trump starts attacking Canada, that’s good news for the Liberal Party, and it seems, bad news for Conservatives,” says Andrew Enns, executive vice-president...
