Hour 4 of Ottawa Now for Thurs. August 20th, 2026
August 20, 2026
A frightening scene has unfolded on Canada’s busiest highway. A transport truck driving Eastbound, without warning, crossed a grassy median and struck a car driving in the opposite direction. The driver of that vehicle did not survive. CTV’s Dylan Dyson joins us to talk about what happened on the 401 between the Thousand Islands and Gananoque. Then, we preview tonight’s CTV Ottawa supper-hour newscast with Jackie Perez and Kimberley Fowler. And if news breaks in real time, you’ll hear it live on CFRA’s Ottawa Now.
Environment Canada has dropped its warnings for Nova Scotia, but there is still more rain in the forecast after flooding and widespread damage was reported.
