Ottawa Now - First-term Ottawa city councillor David Brown acclaimed after no opponents step forward

Friday afternoon's application deadline came and went, and a pair of Ottawa city councillors didn't have a single opponent to go up against for October's municipal election. Over the weekend, both were officially acclaimed, and will have a free pass to City Hall for the next 4 years. One of them is Rideau-Jock councillor David Brown, who just completed his first term at Laurier Avenue West. He joins guest host Chris Holski on Ottawa Now and outlines his priorities for his second go-around.
A former B.C. Conservative says he was questioned by Mounties Wednesday over his allegation that he was offered an inducement to give up his seat so leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay could run, an accusation Ms. Findlay rejected as being part of a baseless and escalating political attack.
