Hamilton-born NHL prospect Matthew Mayich hospitalized after 'training incident,' OHL says

NHL prospect Matthew Mayich, who was born in Hamilton and played junior hockey with the Ottawa 67's, is in hospital in Arizona following "an off-ice training incident," says the Ontario Hockey League. Now 21, he played minor hockey with the Hamilton Huskies and was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in 2023.
The issue erupted in the summer of 2023 and led Monique LaGrange to resign from the board of Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools after fellow members voted to disqualify her.

We are on the precipice of an A.I. centre boom, as the City of Ottawa is drafting its policy on data centres. There's a new wave of facilities coming to power it, and now various towns are being left to deal with it. Last Wednesday, Ottawa City Council passed a motion, asking City Staff to create a framework for assessing data centres.
