OPP lay criminal negligence charge for fatal boat capsizing on St. Lawrence River

Ontario Provincial Police have charged a Mallorytown, Ont., man with criminal negligence causing death after a boat capsized on the St. Lawrence River in April, leaving an Ottawa man dead.
Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the maximum sentence for manslaughter is three years, compared to seven years for second-degree murder.
