Mysterious floating island reappears on B.C. lake

BC Hydro spokesperson Bob Gammer says he initially thought reports of a floating island covered in trees on Williston Lake in northern British Columbia were a hoax, before satellite images confirmed its existence. It then vanished, but has now reappeared, 30 kilometres from where it was previously seen.
The Gordie Howe bridge, intended to boost commercial and passenger traffic between Canada and the U.S. and ease gridlock for other crossings, opened July 27 after weeks of delays.
