Mayors push to turn Oliver correctional centre into mandatory care facility

Mayors in the Okanagan are specifically pointing to unused capacity at the Oliver facility as a potential location for mandatory care.

The meeting being arranged by the Quebec premier and CAQ leader for Monday night comes as Canada prepares to impose retaliatory tariffs on a wide range of U.S. goods the following day. The tariffs will range from 15 to 50 per cent and apply to products including dairy, steel, copper and some beauty products.
