Utah authorities have formally laid seven charges against the suspect in the assassination of political influencer Charlie Kirk.
Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray told reporters his office would be seeking the death penalty against Tyler James Robinson, 22, who has been charged with aggravated murder, a capital offense.
Robinson will be held without bond, Gray said. He is also charged with felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, two counts of obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering and commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child.
